If you know this bird, please leave a comment and tell me what it is. It could be a common bird that I'd recognize by sight, but since he's hiding behind the poplar leaves I can't see him and I'm not very good at ear recognition.
No one else has commented, but through my own investigations I am nearly certain this is a House Wren. Like many birds, the Wren's song varies. I knew about his buzzier call, but didn't realize he had what is described as a bubbly song as well.
I concur, I think one is nesting in our little hopuse as I see and here the male quite often and twice at the same time saw another sneak into the house. All you can see in the house is stick level with the door, I think they made a small cave under them for the eggs.

Hi Adele, yes, it's a House Wren. Absolutely bubbling and exuberant.
Thanks, Kathy, I appreciate the confirmation. Now I know who is seranading us outside our bedroom window at 5 a.m.
