The video isn't much to look at, but I love the song. He (she?) sang almost nonstop for about three days, but I fear he may have moved on. Maybe he doesn't like our resident Merlin?

I love their songs. I was listening in the river valley but I could not see them until I moved far enough away to see three in the treetops. I was listening to them again this morning while Chloe sniffed in the rain. It has been a very good spring to see thrashers, especially when I do not have a camera. I also saw spotted towhees really close up when I was not a photo threat.

Those cameras are pretty scarey things, aren't they!
I have a very soft spot in my heart for Brown Thrashers - they remind me of spring and summer days on the farm where I grew up.
